Google Search Console (GSC) is one of the effective tools for a Webmaster to understand the performance of the websites on organic search results of Google. The data obtained from Search Console helps Webmasters to identify errors, penalties, and other problems that may impact the visibility of a website on Google search. However, Google keeps updating the Search Console to help Webmasters better analyse the performance of the websites.
Google launches a new URL inspection API which will help SEOs and publishers identify problems lurking within the pages and efficiently debug these issues. This new tool will act as the bridge between two software programs and enable them to communicate with each other. The API can help discover new URLs for crawling, allow apps to search console data like CTR, clicks, and positions, and add unidentified URLs to site audit reports.
To add more, you can ask for information about the indexed version of an URL with the new URL inspection API. It will provide the updated information present in the URL inspection tool. There are a few more features recently launched in the new Search Console. These include-
Earlier Google Search Console classified URLs into two broad statuses- valid and invalid items. Valid indicated items with no critical issues, while invalid meant few report-specific critical issues on the page item. However, Google announced an upgradation done recently. The classifications of valid and invalid items will now be implied through colour and icons rather than a text label.
Google has rolled out the following changes to individual Search Console reports:
Error and Excluded issues are grouped into the Not indexed status.
The Valid and Valid with warning pages are grouped into the Indexed status
Categories for mobile usability are changed to not usable and Usable
The report for core web vitals now groups pages into two tables: one table for Poor/Need improvement and one for Good pages

To help you understand the performance of your videos on Google and identify the areas for improvement, Search Console has launched a new report called video indexing. When Google will detect videos on your site, a video index report will appear on the left navigation bar in the coverage section.
The report helps show the following status of video indexing on your website.On how many pages has Google identified videos?
Which videos are indexed successfully?
What are the issues that are preventing the videos from getting indexed?
Also, if you fix any existing issue, you can use this report to validate the fix and track how your fixed video pages are updated in the Google Index. In addition, the Search Console has upgraded the URL Inspection tool. It allows you to check the video indexing status of a specific page.
